AKC Canine Good CitizenĀ® Dog Obedience Class

Our obedience package gives your furry friend the very best in training. This 5-week class is designed to help you better communicate with and train your dog. It is designed for dogs 6 months and older and aimed at training you to train your dog. The class emphasizes the essential training commands needed to make your dog a good companion including: politely walking on a loose leash, sit, stand, down, stay, and come when called. Our obedience class also covers problem-solving basics such as:

  • potty training

  • chewing/teething

  • jumping

  • digging

  • barking

  • destructive behavior

  • motion sickness

Our expert instructors will teach you how to use food in training without it becoming a bribe so that your puppy responds reliably whether you have food or not. You will learn how to improve your puppy's focus, speed of recall and length of stays off-leash, at a distance and when distracted.
