Do you want a program where you can

spread your dog’s training phases out over time?

******

Do you need your dog trained only in one specific phase of training?

BBCOC, LLC can assist you with your training needs!

Individual Phase Training

Bark to Basics Canine Obedience Center, LLC has several options to assist you with training your dog to become a service animal. Our individual phase training offers both full service phase training and client assistance training. These service dog training phases are designed to be purchased separately; similar to an a la carte menu. This will allow clients to have their dog trained by our trainers in one specific phase at a time, or to get support with self training in any specific phase of training without having to invest in the high price for a dog who has completed the full program. It also allows the “self train” clients to be able to self train while having the support of a certified trainer to answer their questions, problem solve, and to create a training plan.

Service Dog Obedience Training

Any dog can go through the obedience training for future service animals. Dogs do not have to be purebred. They are however required to be fully vaccinated, have had a fecal exam and be examined by a veterinarian within 7 days of beginning training, and be at least 6 months of age. This program differs slightly from our general obedience program in that the dogs in the service dog obedience program are temperament tested to determine their suitability to be a service animal, are more rigorously trained, and are trained to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen examination. In our general obedience classes, dogs may or may not have the skills necessary in the time frame of the class to pass the CGC test and remain under the care of their owner at all times. Training time for the service dog obedience training is 2-3 months with the dog living with the Bark to Basics Canine Obedience Center, LLC trainer full time. When self training, support and training schedule are determined on an individual dog basis.
